      <image:title>Children (3-12) - Children (3-12)</image:title>
<image:caption>Your child may be demonstrating some of the following behavioural issues; Withdrawn behaviour. Anxiety related symptoms such as increased headaches or tummy aches and some regressed behaviour. Increased difficulties between sibling relationships and/or peer relationships resulting in aggressive behaviour. An increase in tantrums or defiant behaviour. Changes in sleeping patterns and/or eating habits. Difficulties concentrating at school. We work in partnership with both the child and the parents to try to understand the underlying reason for these changes. From here, we can develop new ways of expressing difficult thoughts and feelings and build on the child’s resilience and self-esteem.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Adolescents (13+) - Adolescents (13+)</image:title>
<image:caption>The teenage years can be a difficult time for both the young person and their parents, due to intense physiological and psychological changes. Communication can dramatically reduce and as a result both parties can feel stuck. We are able to work with feelings of low self-worth, obsessive thoughts and behaviours, the onset of eating disorders and self-harming. There are a myriad of ways that adolescents can demonstrate that they are struggling and it is our passion to help young people discover, perhaps for the first time, a true sense of who they are. Usually, as a result, we can assist them to develop skills and coping strategies for the future. It is important to note that a young person needs to want to take the first step towards change in order for a therapeutic relationship to work. Sometimes whilst waiting for this to happen, parents can find it helpful to have support. Please see the section for Parents for further information.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Parents and Teachers - Parents</image:title>
<image:caption>We offer parental support in the following ways; Whilst your child or adolescent is in therapy, it can be helpful to have a session in order to understand what might be going on not just for your child but also for yourself. Parenthood can be challenging and our own experiences in childhood can have a huge impact on how we react to our own children. It can take a little while for a child and in particular an adolescent to engage in therapy. Whilst this process is evolving, it can be a welcome relief for parents to have support. This can provide an opportunity to bounce ideas, think about how you are responding to your child and sometimes develop strategies together in order to manage the situation. We offer weekly sessions with parents which works as a bridge between yourselves and your child or adolescent.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Parents and Teachers - Teachers</image:title>
<image:caption>Sophia has extensive experience in education and is adept at offering practical support to teachers in order that they can better understand behaviour from both a teaching and a therapeutic perspective. Her work in schools often involves lesson observations in order to help identify the most appropriate interventions for students. Additionally, she works two days a week in a secondary school in North London where part of her remit is to support Heads of Year in developing their psychological awareness in order to best meet the needs of young people. Stephanie is a proud employee of an initiative called Growing Minds which offers individually tailored positive mental health groups to secondary schools in Hertfordshire. As part of her role, she runs teacher support designed to understand and offer strategies regarding the behaviour of pupils. This is based on attachment theory and the huge variety of emotional needs children and adolescents have which will impact on their learning in the classroom.</image:caption>
